It seems that the time has finally arrived for Samsung to officially launch ATIV Book 9 2015 laptops. According to the company’s official announcement, the South Korean producer has prepared two models of laptops, the high end ATIV Book 9 Pro and the more affordable version, ATIV Book 9 Spin.
Samsung is world-renowned for its smartphones and TV sets, but the developer is willing to expand its collection of products to laptops, as well. The ATIV line will be officially launched in November 2015 and prices will be rather big, compared to what the South Korean developer has accustomed us before.
The high-end version of the notebook has been estimated at $1,599, whereas the lay model will cost approximately $1,399. Either way, Samsung has worked to make the two models as unique as possible and to convince users that whatever version they choose to purchase, it will be definitely worth it.
The first thing that strikes us is the light aluminum chassis and the compact shape that Samsung has chosen for its new collection. Naturally, the new shapes and sizes have been inspired by clients’ growing need of mobility and versatility. The two notebooks are not heavier than 2.7 pounds, so they are quite easy to carry around.
The Pro notebook is slightly more advanced than the second prototype. It comes with a surprising 4K touchscreen that lives up to Samsung’s reputation as one of the biggest screen producers in the world. The display has a 3840 x 2160 resolution and measures 15.6 inches. Customers, who prefer the Spin model will only have a 13.3.-inch display that is, nevertheless, equally advanced due to its QHD+ resolution of 3200 x 1800.
When choosing what type of ATIV notebook customers want to purchase, they will most likely consider the role of the laptop. Those who are interested in a reliable working tool, will go for the Pro model because it features Wi-Fi Booster v2 and many USB ports, including the Type C USB connector. Even the 6th generation i7 processor is a tad more powerful, having 2.60 GHz, whereas the processor of the Spin model is only 2.50 GHz.
The Spin model, on the other hand, is perfect for entertainment activities. It can be used as a tablet, as a tented laptop or as a regular laptop. The functions of the keyboard and the touchscreen adjust to whatever position the user is selecting making it even easier to use the device. The 256 GB of storage capacity will come in handy for customers, who also want to save files and documents on their gadgets.
In spite of its NVIDIA graphics card and the attractive 360 degrees spinning display, the Spin model may be disregarded by some for its 13.3-inch display. Yet, this is a small inconvenience considering that buyers will be able to save a few bucks upon purchase.
