New rumors about specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 have been presented in mass media, since the next high-end mobile device is planned to be launched sometime during the spring of 2016. However, numerous speculations on what this device will operate on have started to be thrown in the tech press.
Anonymous sources say that the Galaxy S7 may be up to 10% less expensive than its forerunner the famous Samsung S6 model, although there are no indicators on how the company will gradually cut the costs of its mobile phones. Most people predict that the Universe S7 will probably be released in Feb, since the previous S6 version was presented around the same time this year.
Let us list some top specs that could be incorporated into the Galaxy S7. Standard benchmarks of the S7 version have been released on the internet, showing that the device will arrive in two models with different processor chips. These sources claim that the smart phone will have Samsung’s proprietary Exynos 8890 processor and another version will operate the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
Benchmarks scores of the rumored Galaxy S7 device with the Snapdragon 820 have also been seen on some Chinese websites. Another review in the Asian press states that Samsung wants to fix the heating problems in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 by including next-gen heating hardware in its mobile gadgets.
Again, users will have to see if the South Korean giant will really incorporate these extra elements and if they will be just for Galaxy S7’s Snapdragon edition. The same Asian sources say that the company is planning few style modifications to its new Samsung Galaxy device and will follow the same glass and aluminum designs that customers have seen in the current S6 and S6 Edge versions.
This was an expected move, given that a similar glass and metal style is now used to almost all high-end Samsung gadgets like its Note series and it will be integrated into the upcoming Galaxy A models in 2016. Since the Galaxy S6 and Edge versions showed significant improvement, their S7 successor will have developments both in image quality, efficiency and in other series of new functions.
But because mobile phones are already commoditized for the majority of their usage options, the producers do not have to invest more in a design renovation, as a source says in a newspaper article. The rumors state that the Galaxy S7 may be a part of the emerging group of devices using a Type-C connection for power charging and data transfer, like the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P or OnePlus 2, by getting rid of the traditional micro-USB port met in many current mobile phones.
Since that is where tech market’s conventional standards are advancing, this choice does not represent a surprise for many. Samsung could also add a slot for micro-SD memory cards with its Galaxy S7, according to the same sources who affirm that expendable storage is one of the most important options that a large part of premium phones are currently missing.
