Recently, scientists have discovered yet another long-lost secret of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. The oldest Wonder of the World apparently has another secret chamber hidden within it. It’s interesting that the experts managed to find the mysterious void inside using particle physics, but they still have no idea what’s actually inside it. However, if you are passionate, it seems that you can visit the mysterious chamber in the recent Assassin’s Creed: Origins video game from Ubisoft.
The game features an impressive open world of Ancient Egypt. Maybe the most realistic one ever made. And, surprisingly, apart from the many monuments and buildings, the game also features the newly-discovered chamber in the Great Pyramid. How was this possible? Did Ubisoft predict the existence of this mysterious void inside? Actually, as it turns out, the developers have been following the research for years.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins allows you to visit the secret chamber
According to Maxime Durand, who is the historian responsible with the Assassin’s Creed series, the team was sure about the theory according to which the Great Pyramid also has inner ramps and two antechambers inside. This made them use the chambers in the game thinking that surely, experts were going to discover them someday and the game would make excellent sense then. It seems like the discovery happened much sooner than they expected.
In the game, this secret chamber is filled with treasure and valuable objects. It will be interesting to see if the real one resembles it or if it even carries the same history with it. Moreover, Ubisoft’s new game will feature a DLC release that will guide players through the history of Ancient Egypt and will act as an educational mode. It will become available at the beginning of next year and has the purpose of teaching players about the real personalities, battles and events of Ancient Egypt.
